LIZ CARLSON, licensed acupuncturist + herbalist
I believe that you know yourself better than anyone knows you. You know your health goals and you want a clear plan as to how to achieve them. That's where I come in.
After 9 years in practice, I wake up every day passionate about helping people on their journey to health with the use of acupuncture, herbs, nutrition and lifestyle advice. My goal is to demystify Traditional Chinese Medicine and translate the perspective and philosophy into something usable and understandable. Along with treatment, I provide education, a warm, healing environment and supportive communication outside of the treatment room. I strongly believe in integrating all types of medicine. If I am not the right practitioner for you, we will find what you need.
When I am not in Manhattan hanging with (keeping an eye on) my baby bro, I am traveling north to swim at the beach in Maine with the rest of my family, or flying west to San Francisco (where I left part of my heart) to continue adventures with my business partners and our healthcare firm, Syntropy Ventures.
TONI WATSON, licensed acupuncturist + REFLEXOLOGIST
I am an experienced acupuncturist, reflexologist, and yoga teacher and have been practicing many forms of holistic medicine for over a decade while exploring different pathways to support healing and spiritual growth through balancing energy holistically.
I studied contemporary dance for nearly 15 years in South Africa before moving to London to complete my Degree in Acupuncture at the University of Westminster. Upon completion of my Honors degree, I volunteered at St. Joseph's Hospice in London using acupuncture to alleviate pain and to support the emotional wellbeing of my patients. After briefly traveling and practicing acupuncture in rural India, I moved to New York City and completed a 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training with Yogaveda in the East Village.
Since obtaining my NY state Acupuncture license, I have been offering holistic treatment and support through acupuncture, reflexology, and the teaching of yoga, which includes supporting the exploration of one’s own physical and spiritual well-being through meditation and breath work.
My acupuncture sessions begin with a short consultation that includes subtle diagnostic techniques to determine the treatment. I believe that all healing should be considered holistically, and I encourage my patients to explore their own possible blocks to healing and how they can support themselves better. I believe in providing a balance of support, nourishment, empowerment and practicality. As well as an acupuncture treatment, the session may also include supportive therapies such as acupressure, moxa or cupping.
